Preparation steps
- grate ginger and crush garlic
- fry ginger and garlic with olive oil for 15-18 min until crisp and golden
- stir in aleppo chilli and transfer to a plate to crisp further
- heat butter and olive oil in a large pan
- cook leek with salt for about 10 min until soft and lightly coloured
- add jasmine rice and cook on high for 4-5 min until heated through and well browned
- stir in spring onion, soy sauce, and toasted sesame oil and turn off heat
- heat remaining olive oil in a small pan
- crack in egg and sprinkle lightly with salt
- top egg white with ginger mix and cook for about 3 min until white is set and yolk runny
- transfer rice to a bowl, top with egg, and serve warm
